No.20, Happy New Year - 2010, last updated on: 05/01/2010
Happy New Year from Tennyson Suite Limited

2010 (Twenty-Ten) is promising to be a challenging year for all construction related businesses in the UK – none more so than the construction operatives working in the private and public sectors of the industry.

For this year is the time in which all operatives will be required to obtain the CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) Card. Without it, operatives will not be permitted to work for the majority of the employers in the UK.

Setting Your Objectives.
By the end of 2010, construction companies should be targeting that all employees and those of sub-contractors working on their behalf have reached 100% compliance with obtaining CSCS Cards.
Contractors – Be Warned!
Major Employers of local contractors are insisting on their employees having a valid CSCS Card; some are in force now, others such as United in Eastbourne have set the deadline as at 1st April 2010.
NO CSCS CARD – NO WORK!
Don’t be left out in the cold – Apply for your card by visiting the CITB website, the webpage link is below:

Push Studios plc has recently engaged Tennyson Suite's Health and Safety Department to steer their team through the CSCS Card Scheme.

Their drive to be committed to the CSCS Card Scheme has been generated by their clients seeking competency and commitment with regard to health and safety in the workplace. Employers are now insisting that CSCS Cards form part of the process of confirming the competency of the Contractors who they engage to work on their behalf.
